How do the Adoption Education Classes online work?

You will see and hear your instructor on your computer screen as well as the synchronized PowerPoint presentation slides, all from the privacy of your home!

It's easy and fun! It is at your pace and during your schedule. If you need to interact with the instruction, a class discussion forum is available and the instructors will answer all questions there. You may also e-mail your instructor directly. No longer will you have to read long pieces of text on a computer screen or an outdated manual.

What is the cost to take the courses?

The cost per individual is $35 per class or $50 couple registering. The fee includes all courses, downloadable handouts and certificate of completion authorized by our physicians. It also includes e-mail a discussion forum interaction with your instructors.

Do I need a high-speed Internet connection to read the courses?

In order to view the instructor and the PowerPoint slides at the same time, a broadband connection is mandatory. For those who have dial-up Internet, seminar video can still be accessed, but not the slides. You will need to follow along with a downloaded version of the PowerPoint slides.

Will I need to download any special software?

You do not need to download any special software, but you will need to be running a windows platform computer. Currently, people running Macs will not be able to view our lectures, but they can use our service in the same way that the dial-up clients access our seminars.

All courses have an optional hardcopy printout in PDF format. However, students must complete the quiz on-line, and the certificate will be delivered online and also emailed to your adoption agency representative.

Do I need to be affiliated with an agency to take a course?

No, these classes and certifications are available to anyone seeking education and adoption certification. Our doctors are the ones who certify you.

How long does it take to complete the material?

Each course is equivalent to 1 hour of educational material. Class duration is approximately 45 minutes long and the online quiz will takes approximately 15 minutes to complete. You will not need to spend countless hour reading material on a computer screen. Our instructors will speak directly to you about what you need to know in order to pass the quiz.

Will I receive a certificate after completing each course?

You will receive a certificate after you successfully view to the entire class as well as completing the online quiz.  For those requiring it, e-mail notification directly to your adoption agency can be arranged.

Can I skip the video and just take the test in order to certify?

NO!!! We feel that adoption education classes are vital to making the adoption process a success. Education and knowledge is the only way that you as a parent can be adequately prepared for the adoption journey that lies in front of you.
